Architecture in Chinatown, Tremgannu

There are some lovely buildings in Tremgannu, Malaysia.  Unlike the towering, oppressive skyscrapers in most cities; in this tiny town, nothing is taller than five stories, giving it a laid-back, rustic feel.

The morning air is crisp and fresh. To find breakfast, one only need to follow the smell of toasted bread and noodle soup.

On the cobbled streets, cars rarely travel over 50kmh, and there are few traffic lights, providing plentiful excuses for one to jaywalk in peace.

in the silence of the morning, we arrived.

Beep! Beep!

Newspaper, anyone?
The Malaysians have Chinese papers, and their equivalent of Business Times is a curious chinese paper called 南洋高報。

this yellow building doesn't sell petrol, it's a GAS station.
yes, it supplies giant blue tanks of gas to households and businesses for cooking!

Dial- a- cab, anyone?
